How Our Day Began at “Feed My Starving Children.”
The Dallas personal injury team not only works together to provide legal services to the local Dallas Metroplex, but they also care about their community and the well-being of their neighbors. Our team chose the early shift and gathered in the gym to listen to the directions and flow of the meal packing
What Kraft Attorneys say about Giving Back
To be able to properly represent your clients and attend to their needs, making the current community a better place, it is important to fully get to know and understand them all by actively participating in events that inspire you.
On August 3, 2019, “Feed My Starving Children,” hosted a Meal Packing Event that asked local members of the Dallas community to gather at the Dallas Episcopal School in the gymnasium to pack what are called, “Manna Meals.”
Kraft’s Volunteer Day of Fun in Dallas
As the crowd of several hundred folks filed into the gymnasium with hairnets, we were greeted with warm faces and GREAT Music!
With over 20 stations set up in the gym, there were 5-6 people at each station, and everyone had their own task to complete. The process reminded me of working in a factory with great music and very cool people.
Another woman even said, “This reminds me when I used to work at Frito Lay 20 years ago.” The packs were plastic and needed to be sealed at the end of the process.
What is in the “Manna Packs?”
We put one small scoop of chicken flavor, soy, rice, and a small scoop of nutrients. The whole bag had six servings at 200 calories per serving, totaling 600 calories per bag. By the end of our shift, we had packed enough meals for 200 children to eat for a full year! The satisfaction of just being able to help out children was very rewarding.
Dallas Injury Lawyers, Kraft & Associates, P.C., Understand Our Community
Volunteering in our community allows our team to interact and grow with our local community. For example, we have become more humble volunteering, helping our team be fully compassionate with our clients.
Working to help children get enough nutrition so that they are able to get to school is very rewarding, and we all enjoyed working toward helping them. The non-profit is based here in Dallas, Texas and we plan to continue to stay active in our local area.
The event was a great time getting to know local members of the Junior League of Dallas, other lawyers, and there was even a volunteer group of only Mothers and Daughters who wore pink shirts! The whole event reminds you that good is in this world, and becoming a part of the community helps you grow and become a part of something bigger than yourself.
